Hey there, I’m Fallon!
And that cute boy you see...that's Huxley, aka "the Hux."
I am a mama to 4 and wife to 1. We call North Alabama home, where we enjoy snuggles with our 2 dogs and look forward to family movie nights.
My son Huxley began to show signs of Autism at 12 months old. At first, the signs were not apparent to me - but a caring family member noticed a video I posted on Facebook of Huxley tiptoeing. That is the first time I heard the words "Autism" and "Hux" in the same sentence.
From that moment, Autism and all it encompasses turned into our reality. My new norm quickly shifted to late night Google searches and my new superpower became advocacy!
After 2 years, Huxley has a diagnosis - moderate to severe Autism, as well as ADHD.
This is OUR Autism journey. No family's journey is the same!
Here I will share our personal stories: some happy, some emotional, and even some frustrating ones. But they are all OUR stories and we share them to:
- Give myself and my family a safe space to share raw emotions; sometimes you just need to write it out to let it out
- Remind anyone going on their own similar journey that YOU ARE NEVER ALONE
- Provide awareness to all; I am an advocate not just for my child, but all children
